Robust and fragrant with a vivid spring green colour, Taishiro is our non-organic superior culinary grade Matcha, ideal for the preparation of Matcha Latte or as added ingredient to any baking creation, cakes, cookies, chocolates, fresh creams and so on.

Made from stone ground tea leaves grown in Uji (Kyoto), Taishiro is produced by blending tea leaves that have been picked during the first and second harvest of the season.

We suggest to use it for culinary purposes, where heat is applied and also a slight more astringent flavour is needed, but given the superior quality of this culinary grade it can be be enjoyed with hot water like our ceremonial grades, but please note that you may find it a little bitter and not as bright in colour.
