HANNARI is the latest introduction to our range, a delightful first-harvest Saemidori Single Cultivar Matcha designed to make outstanding lattes thanks to the well-rounded flavour profile and deep green colour of the Saemidori cultivar.
Now also available in 100g retail bags here.
Given the popularity of our last two sourcing of Hannari in 2024 and 2025 and the shortage of raw materials in the last year, in 2026 we wanted to keep the standard of this blend high, so we settled on this bright Saemidori single cultivar tea from Kagoshima: a luscious and well balanced 1st harvest Matcha designed to close the gap between our Premium Culinary Grade KOHIKI and our Ceremonial Grade HANAE, both in terms of quality and cost.
HANNARI makes outstanding Matcha latte and desserts, and it's great for Cold Brew too.
Produced with first harvest spring leaves and milled with the latest technology bead-mill machine that equals the stone-milling particle size of around 8-10 micron.
Flavour profile: Rich and well-balanced with subtle roasted notes, sweet, nutty and with heaps of lingering Umami
Origin: Kagoshima (Japan) / 1st Harvest 2026
Shelf life: 12 months
Storage: Seal pouch immediately after use and store in a cool dry place, away from moisture and strong odors.

Please consider our retail collections for a wider range of grades and small-sized packaging:
If you're purchasing this bag for your home or for business use, we recommend opting for one of our Biophotonic Glass Jars for optimal storage and practical everyday use. Transferring small amounts of powder into a jar minimizes its exposure to oxygen and increases the shelf life of the tea.

Matcha
The matcha is perfect such good quality!
Worths the penny
Worths the penny, I mix my matcha with maple syrup and soy milk, a perfect caffein replacement for my coffee routine
Quality Matcha with excellent value
Moving from Hanae to Hannari, I didn’t know what to expect however I was blown away by the taste. I’m a latte drinker and felt Kohiki had too much astringency for my palette but Hannari perfectly bridges the gap between the Culinary and Ceremonial Grade with fantastic value. I would definitely get Hannari again! Delicious flavour profile with minimal bitterness.
Not bitter but not complex
Good quality matcha that is not bitter, but there's nothing interesting in the flavour profile. I've used for matcha latte. The powder was ground properly, not clumpy. Personally, I would prefer something more complex or interesting and hence, for the price, I'd rather get the Taishiro which does have a bit of bitterness but better price.
Best matcha latte
I love it and highly recommend everyone give it a try.
